FAQS

  • Certain medications or lifestyle choices should not be getting a brow wax. I.e if you are on Accutane for acne, brow waxing is not an option. If you have a fresh tan or sunburn, we ask you wait until they fade to ensure your skin is not damaged during the hair pull.

  • Eyelashes and eyebrows should be clean, dry and free of mascara(at least 24 hours), makeup and oil residue prior to my arrival.

Without proper preparation lasting results may not be achieved

    • For optimum results you should avoid direct heat, steam, mascara and other skin care products around the eye area, sleeping on my stomach or side for 48 hours after the application.

    • The first 48 hours after the lift is the most crucial. You should avoid getting your lashes wet during this time, this is so the biochemical effect of the lashes can take place

    • Avoiding exposure to heat. Heat can break down the lash lift. Avoid sunbeds 48 hours post

    • Avoid touching the lashes for 24-48 hours

  • Short answer, No.

The chemical process of breaking the disulfide bonds within the lash is damaging to the lash if not performed correctly.

Overprocessing the lashes would be damaging, and means the bonds are either not able to be reformed well enough or they break so far that they over-process.

  • 1. Pregnant. This only applies if you cannot lay flat on your back for a longer period of time, up to 1 hour.

    2. If you have very little natural eyelashes, the gaps between your lashes will be more noticeable

    3. If you have pre-existing eye(lid) conditions such as chronic dry eye, blepharitis, conjunctivitis and ocular rosacea

    4. Lasik surgery (wait a minimum of 6 months from your procedure)

    5. Have Trichotillomania (compulsive pulling or twisting hair, eyebrows and eyelashes)

    6. Have very sensitive eyes or possible allergies to adhesive (recommended to book an appointment for a patch test)

    7. Undergoing chemo treatments or have had chemo treatments within the past year (recommend to consult with your physician)

    8. Are sensitive or have allergies to dyes (recommended to book an appointment for a patch test)

    9. Had blepharoplasty surgery (must wait a minimum of 1 year after your surgery)

  • Yes but it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours after your treatment. You may find that there is no need for mascara anyway, but if you wish to make your lashes even fuller, a non-waterproof mascara is advised as the removal of waterproof mascaras can be harsh on the lashes and weaken the lift.

  • No. There will be no need for an eyelash curler as this treatment gives a much better result than using a curler, But more importantly, using one may weaken and damage your lashes.
