Before Botox Treatment: 

  • Avoid medications that are blood thinning or contain Vitamin E, Aspirin, and NSAIDS. These drugs include but are not limited too Ibuprofen, Motrin®, Fish oil, Nuprin, St. John’s Wort, Advil, Aleve. These medications can increase the risk of bruising and bleeding. 

  • Avoid any alcohol 24 hours prior to the procedure. Alcohol can increase the risk of bruising and bleeding. 

  • Avoid any facial treatments that will open the pores or expose layers of the skin. I.e Chemical peels, microneedling, waxing, tweezing, etc

After Botox Treatment:
  • Do  not touch or rub the injected areas for 4 hours after treatment.  For the first 90 minutes to 2 hours following your wrinkle reducing treatment, try contracting those muscles that were injected frequently. This will help the muscle absorb the relaxer better 

  • Avoid bending or laying down for the first few hours . Avoid exercising or sweating excessively for the first 24 hours following your treatment. 

  • Avoid facial treatments i.e microneedling, microdermabrasion and/or facial massage for at least 10 days following your wrinkle relaxing treatment

  • You can apply make up immediately following your treatment but very gently

  • ​Reduce your risk of bruising by avoiding Advil, or any medications that cause your blood to thin out such as Vitamin E, Aspirin, nonsteriodal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for a period of 10-14 days

  • Bruising can occur, it is normal and temporary. It should go away within a few hours of the treatment

- Precautions -

You would not be considered a candidate for botox if you have any of the following: 

  • Neuromuscular disorder

  • Allergy to Botulinum Toxin

  • Pregnant or Breastfeeding 

  • Allergy to Human Albumin

  • Myasthenia Gravis 

Results 
  • Results can be noticed in as little as 5 days but does take a full 14 days for optimal results.
